Silver Seasons is the combination of Michael's exceptional knowledge of jewellery making and his love of nature. Starting as an apprentice mould cutter in 1973, Michael soon became a master precious metal caster and mould-maker. In 1976, seeking even more knowledge, Michael moved on to the Rochester Institute of Technology's prestigious School for American Craftsmen. While studying under esteemed designers Hans Christenson and Gary Griffin, he mastered many of the techniques he uses today to capture the beauty and exquisite detail of nature in metal.
After graduation in 1980, Michael returned to the jewellery manufacturing community and worked for some of America's leading jewellery designers.
In 1991, lucky enough to be living in the Connecticut countryside and working near New York City's flower district; Michael's love of nature began to combine with his love for jewellery. He began experimenting with the techniques that eventually launched the Silver Seasons collection in 1992.
Working closely with museums he has created beautiful nature designs like the "Wisteria" collection for the National Gallery of Art, "Morello Cherries" for Victoria & Albert museum, London, Sunflowers, for The National Gallery, London. Using a variety of materials, the collection is produced in bronze, sterling silver and gold metals and utilises freshwater pearls, precious & semi-precious stones and hand formed glass beads.

"Nature's creations are the ultimate Art that fills our
hearts with joy, warms our souls with promise and fuels
our spirit with desire. My true inspiration to reflect this
beauty in adornment is what my Art is all about."
