We are open 6 days a week. Only a fraction of our stock is displayed in the shop, as we feel this lets us offer a more personalized service. Our aim is to treat every customer as an individual and offer a luxurious, enjoyable shopping experience. The changing rooms are equipped with comfortable settees and complimentary tea and coffee. We feel this adds to the relaxed informal atmosphere.

We also have a personal shopping service, so if you work odd hours or have family commitments, just give us a ring on (44) 01947 604702 and we will arrange to open just for you, anytime of the day or night! Our dedicated team of staff are also happy to do home visits, if you are unable to make the trip up to us.

History

On moving to Whitby from Melbourne, East Yorkshire, Olivia Wells spotted the lack of a really friendly shopping experience for intimate apparel and thus Fishnets Lingerie was born! She had spent the previous eighteen years in Oriental Carpets and textiles as a broker, her love of textiles shows in the stock at Fishnets Lingerie; which opened in 2002 with a bang. Owner Olivia Wells and daughter Louise Wells greeted their first customers with free champagne and live models in the windows (causing more then a few near car accidents)!

Since our first few months we have gone from strength to strength; building a strong foundation of excellent customer service and adding nightwear, hosiery, swim wear, gloves, shoes, accessories and designer make-up to the already exemplary range of stock.

With the addition of this web site, bringing the convenience of online browsing and shopping, with next day delivery, we are reaching more customers nationwide than ever before.

Prague Infomation

Change is part and parcel of the fashion industry and business is no different. Due to our success in Whitby, Fishnets Lingerie has expanded into the European marketplace. In April 2007 we opened our newest store in the Czech Republics' capital, Prague. Situated in the heart of this beautiful city, the new shop has been created using the same principles that have made the Whitby shop so successful. The shops emphasis is on a relaxed atmosphere, original and varied stock, along with trademark knowledgeable and friendly service. It is merely a matter of time before we make our mark on an emerging marketplace, in one of the EUs' newest additions.

Directions when coming by metro:

From Můstek (on the green or yellow line)

Come out of the exit on Na Můstku or Na Příkopě or Národní. A useful landmark is a big shop called New Yorker. If you stand with your back to this looking up Václavské Náměstí, (Wenceslas Square) towards the Pension Muzeum (The big building at the top of Wenceslas Square) then Tescos is to your right further down 28 Října. Then walk towards tescos at Národní Třida. When you reach Tescos turn right down Na Perštýně (there is a bank and an Pietro Filipi on either corner). Martinská is the first right and it has a Rock Point shop on the corner. Fishnets Lingerie is halfway along the street and on the right hand side.

When you come out of the metro head to the other side of Tesco’s main enterance on Národní. As you come to the front of tescos you should see a bank and a shop called Pietro Filipi. This street is called Na Perštýně and Martinská is the first right. There is a Rock Point shop on the corner and we are halfway down the street on the right hand side. You can also use tram numbers 6, 9, 18, 21, 22, 23, 53, 57, 58. These all stop at Národní Třida and the tram stop is just in front of Národní Třida metro station.

Directions from the Old Town Square:

With your back to the Astronomical Clock head to your right to a smaller square (called Malé Námestí). Then turn down Jilská (there is a Swarovski shop at the top of this street). Jilská turns into Na Perštýně Martinská is the last left turning with a Rock Point shop on the corner.
